I only met Winifred a few times but they were always memorable, she was kind hearted and had a rascally sense of humour. The first time I met her was at Bridie and Martin's wedding where Wini came up to me and talked up the accomplishments of her granddaughter, Elle. She told me Elle made the best apple pies, knitted like there was no tomorrow and a load of other falsehoods, and then dragged me over to dance with the granddaughter in question. Our first dance. Years later we had the pleasure of having Wini at our own wedding, a wedding she practically concocted. Rest in peace Winifred ❤️
